For this reason, and the hard-to-find, uncrowded conditions, Tambo de Oro is a surfer's dream come true. Tambo de Oro Surf Tours allow our guests to explore the surf breaks of Nayarit and Jalisco and surf spots that are not found in any travel book or even on the map. With exclusive tours led by local Mexican guides, limited to three guests per tour, Tambo de Oro Surf Tours offer a one-of-a-kind adventure that every surfer will enjoy. Exotic reef, point, and beach breaks await you as guests of Tambo de Oro Surf Tours. 

Surf Tours Include: 

  • Transportation: Tambo de Oro's surf truck or boat. 

  • Small groups - 3 guest surfers maximum. 

  • Lunch, snacks and drinks.

Added to the price of your stay at Tambo de Oro are the following options:

Boat Surf Tour:

Boat tours consist of a Mexican panga / lancha to a break only accessible by boat. You are accompanied by a guide/boat captain, Tambo de Oro crew member, and no more than two other surfers. Often the captain and crew will catch local fish while you surf and the fish will be prepared for the evening hospitality hour at Tambo de Oro.

$75 USD per guest

 

Day-trip Surf Tour:

Day-trip surf tours consist of a full day of surfing at one or more remote locations. This is a dawn to dusk trip, that includes sightseeing along the way.

$75 USD per guest

 

Local Surf Tour:  

Local surf tours consist of a full morning or afternoon at a nearby surf break, with no less than three hours of water time. Travel time may be up to one hour, each way. Local tours give ample time for a session in Sayulita before or after the tour.

$50 USD per  guest

Deluxe Surf Tour Package:

$175 USD per guest

Includes three surf tours per week:

  • 1 Boat tour

  • 1 Day-trip tour

  • 1 Local tour

Surf tour destinations are based on swell activity and season, and the tour group's preference for size and wave direction.
